The Academic Founders’ Lab (AFL) is a student initiative at FHWien der WKW, which aims to increase the number of student led start-up companies. To achieve this, numerous workshop are held, helping students find ideas and plan their start-up. Lectures are also organized on a variety of relevant topics. Student entrepreneurs at FHWien der WKW are offered an array of benefits and support services at their fingertips.


The Academic Founder’s Lab will increase the number of student led start-up companies at FHWien der WKW and will act in a supportive capacity for existing companies.
Looking to the future, they will help potential start-ups find competent and well-fitting team members. Networking with other universities and universities of applied sciences will help bring competencies in interdisciplinary areas together.


AFL is a registered student association to promote the founding of start-up companies by students and graduates at FHWien der WKW. We network with lecturers, interested parties and founders and offer a unique type of support and assistance.

Founders’ Hall - Setting up your own company

Do you want to set up a company or have you already set up a company and want our assistance? Do you want to work in a start-up company as one of the team?

Simply send us one or two pages of text with all relevant information about yourself and your company to and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Becoming a mentor

Do you have subject-specific knowledge and a built up network? Do you want to pass on your expertise to young businesses? Get involved and help support our start-ups in the most important phase of development.
It is up to you how often and how many start-ups you want to support.

Robert Craciun

Robert Craciun

Robert Craciun is chair of the registered association AFL and a student at FHWien der WKW. Robert studies Management & Entrepreneurship, with the focus product management. His extensive professional experience means that he can support founders to advertise their products to the relevant target audience in the areas of project management, quality management and marketing. He also has expertise in the areas of coaching, NLP and psychology and can therefore offer support in team leadership.
He is currently in the process of establishing his own company and is constantly learning new things and expanding his skills. He will pass on what he learns to AFL.

Robert Vukotic

Robert Vukotic

Robert Vukotic has supported the Academic Founders’ Lab since December 2016, and is a student at FHWien der WKW. Robert studies the Master’s degree program Entrepreneurship and Executive Management. He previously graduated from the Bachelor’s degree program in Human Resources Management at FHWien der WKW. He currently works in Human Resources at the Modul University and is responsible for all personnel-related affairs. His special field is in the advising of labor law issues and accounting.

Robert stays up to date with development in the local and international start-up scene as a reader of “TechCrunch” and “Der Brutkasten”.

Achim Glocknitzer

Achim Glocknitzer

Achim Glocknitzer is a voluntary member of AFL and works as an advisor for establishing start-up companies whilst also studying Executive Management & Entrepreneurship at FHWien der WKW. He offers interested parties expert advice on important topics, which are to be carried out before and whilst setting up a start-up company. His advice is not only for setting up the start-up; he also works as a mediator as and when needed.

His completed psychology degree and his job experience in the areas of recruiting, training and coaching allows him to help in matters of recruiting and leading staff.
